«INTERPOLITEX – 2015»
19th International Exhibition of means of State Security Provision INTERPOLITEX -2015 was held in the territory of All-Russian Centre (VDNH, Moscow) from 20 to 23 October 2015. In Pavilion 75 you could find thematic exhibitions: Exhibition of Police Systems and Equipment, Military-Technical Salon, Exhibition “BORDER”, Exhibition of Unmanned Multipurpose Vehicle Systems, Exhibition of security technologies and systems.
The purpose of the exhibition is the creation and strengthening of business s between consumers, developers and manufacturers of arms. In his opening speech Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation Mr. Vladimir Kolokoltsev noted that Interpolitex as the largest forum in the field of security is entering its next jubilee milestone. During 19 years the project has proved not only its overriding need but its timeliness as well. Several years ago the Interpolitex won general international recognition and the event acquired official international status, what can be considered as weighty confirmation of its role and significance as international exhibition event in the sphere of national security.
38 enterprises and companies took part in live demonstration of technical, operational and combat capabilities of various types of police and military technical equipment for specialists, held on October 23—24 on the special testing and shooting range of the Federal State Enterprise “Geodesia” in the town of Krasnoarmeysk, Moscow Region. Within the framework of live demonstration program special units of Internal Troops of the Russian Federation Ministry of the Interior showed their skills and abilities.
BMSTU also participated in INTERPOLITEX-2015. Among our developments, presented at the exhibition, there was a unique system of passport control. It is able to replace a border guard. "The passenger enters the cabin, puts his/her passport to the fingerprint reader and looks into the camera. The system authenticates the passport by reading all the data, including biometric photograph, which is compared with the photo taken with the camera. If a passport has a fingerprint, the system verifies it too. If the test is passed, the door opens and a man passes the state border, "Catherine Neverova, a Researcher of the Research Center of biometric technology, said.
